Privacy and cookies

The short version: this website uses no cookies and only counts visits anonymously. If you contact me, I only use what you send to reply and to arrange coaching.

No cookies, only anonymous statistics

This website doesn't use cookies, advertising pixels or tracking across websites. To see which pages are useful, I count visits with GoatCounter, an open-source statistics service that uses no cookies and doesn't store IP addresses or build profiles of visitors. It only records things like which page was viewed, the referring website, browser type and country. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in improving the website (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). You can read GoatCounter's privacy policy. The fonts are stored on this website, so your browser doesn't contact Google or other font services. Links to YouTube, Instagram and Skool open those websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to deliver the website and keep it secure. Netlify may process this outside the EU. You can read Netlify's privacy policy.

When you contact me or book a call

If you write to me or book a call, for example on Instagram, Skool or Calendly, I receive the information you choose to share. I use it to reply, to arrange a discovery call and, if we work together, to deliver the coaching. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before an agreement, and carrying out our agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).

If we work together, I may keep short session notes. They are confidential, only used for your coaching, and deleted when they're no longer needed or when you ask, unless the law requires me to keep something, such as bookkeeping records.

Booking through Calendly

When you book a call, you do it on Calendly, a separate scheduling service. Calendly processes the details you enter, such as your name and e-mail, so the meeting can be scheduled, under its own privacy notice. Calendly's booking page has its own cookie settings, where you can decline optional cookies. This website only links to it.

The contact form

If you send a message through the form on this website, your name, e-mail and message are stored by Netlify, which hosts the website, and forwarded to my e-mail so I can reply. I only use them to answer you. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in replying to your enquiry, or steps you ask for before an agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(f) and (b)). I delete them 12 months after our last contact, or earlier if you ask.

Group coaching sign-up

If you sign up for group coaching, your name, e-mail and optional message are stored by Netlify and forwarded to my e-mail, so I can confirm your spot and send you payment and joining details. The legal basis is steps you ask for before an agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). I delete the details 12 months after the group ends, unless we keep working together.

Payments through Stripe

When you pay for coaching or group coaching, the payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland). Stripe receives your name, e-mail and payment details. I never see your full card details. Stripe also records that you accepted my terms. I keep payment records for 5 years, because Danish bookkeeping law requires it. Read more in Stripe's privacy policy.

Newsletter

If you sign up for e-mails, I store your e-mail address and your consent together with the time and the exact wording you agreed to, so I can send you occasional e-mails on loneliness, rejection and connection, including occasional offers for coaching and courses. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)). Every e-mail has a link to withdraw your consent, easily and free of charge. I keep your address and the record of your consent for as long as you are subscribed and up to 2 years after the last e-mail I sent you, so I can document the consent, and then delete it. Newsletter sign-ups are never mixed with contact-form messages.

The newsletter is sent with Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France, EU), which stores the subscriber list for me as my data processor. After you sign up, Brevo sends you an e-mail with a confirmation link; you are only added to the list once you click it (double opt-in). Brevo records when you signed up and confirmed. You can read Brevo's privacy policy.

Who receives the data

Contact-form messages are stored by Netlify, Inc. (USA) and forwarded to my e-mail. Newsletter data stays with Brevo in the EU. Contact-form data is therefore transferred to the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can ask me for more information or a copy of the safeguards.

Your rights

  • You can ask to see the personal data I have about you.
  • You can ask me to correct or delete it.
  • You can object to or limit how I use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere.

To use your rights, contact me on Instagram. If you're unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.

Coaching isn't therapy. I don't diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out now. In Denmark, call 112 or Livslinien on 70 201 201. Anywhere else, find a free helpline at findahelpline.com. Breathwork in my sessions is gentle. If you're pregnant, or have epilepsy, a heart condition or a history of panic attacks, tell me before we start.
